转喻是两者之间存在关联，主要借助于密切的关系与联想
而提喻是用大代替小，小代替大
比如：He is fond of the bottle.他喜欢喝酒。（用bottle装酒的瓶子，前颂表示wine，bottle和wine之间存在着密切的关系， 这是转喻）
